According to the World Health Organization, the number of people aged 60 years and older is set to increase from 1 billion in 2019 to 2.1 billion by 2050. This is a key driver behind the growing prevalence of Alzheimer’s disease and its increasingly heavy burden on health systems.

New care options for Alzheimer’s disease under development hold great potential. However, public awareness is severely lacking, as is the capacity of many health systems for early detection and diagnosis. As prevalence continues to rise and the treatment landscape evolves, healthcare stakeholders will need to engage with patients sooner and with greater urgency to drive better outcomes.

This webinar, hosted by the Financial Times in partnership with Biogen and eu40, will consider fundamental changes needed to increase awareness of Alzheimer’s disease, improve diagnosis rates and enhance options for care.
